I wish you all the best - thank you for helping me to see again without eyeglasses! when I began considering lasik, I spoke with me mom and friends who all said that Dr. William Boothe is a brilliant surgeon and so it was a natural choice to come and do the procedure in your office. For me, the most important thing was to know that I’m in safe hands, that the doctor saw a lot of similar cases (my left eye -6.00 prescription, and the right one had -5.5) and knows how to treat my condition. I felt reassured when I saw the office and spoke with different people including Dr. Boothe who examined my eyes, devised a solution, and had the patience to explain the different stages of the operation, and what to expect, in terms of my eyesight after doing the lasik. Everyone was willing to answer all of my questions, making me feel comfortable to even ask about simple stuff that I would not ask otherwise, such as whether I can wash my eyes with water or something else in the days after surgery.  

I felt that you all cared about me and wanted this to be as pleasant as possible. I was a bit anxious before the surgery, maybe because I thought it would hurt me or maybe just the thought of having a surgery on my eyes! Fortunately, Dr. William Boothe knew how to come me down and as we went thought the process (there is only a local anesthesia, so I was conscious all along) he was telling me what to expect and how long each laser would take. The surgical part was done in a few minutes.

I stayed in the office for a couple of hours before I was released home. Dr. Boothe asked me to come back for a follow up appointment which went great. I now have almost perfect vision, and I keep asking myself - why did not I do it earlier? I hope that you share my story with other people who think of doing lasik - go for it!
